To login to your email account, click the link above or go to:
You will see a page that says "webmail.deerfieldfire.org". Login using your full email address and password that you were issued. If you do not have this information, please contact your site administrator.
Mail client setup
POP (Post Office Protocol) accounts fetch mail from the server at regular intervals and store it on your local device. To ensure that you never fill up your mailbox, this is the recommended configuration. If you set your computer to leave a copy of messages on the server for several days, this will also allow other devices to connect and see the most recent mail.
IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) accounts store mail on the server. This is generally not recommended as you may run into storage limits leaving all mail on the server indefinitely. While rich in features, IMAP also consumes more resources on your device than a POP connection.
To setup an email account that is compatible with all standard email clients and mobile devices, use the following settings:

Secure mail setup
Secure mail access encrypts the transmission of email from your device to the mail server so that it cannot be intercepted or viewed while in transit.

How do I know if I am connecting securely?
To verify that you are using the secure connection, send yourself an email. You should see the following line in the email header when that email is received:
using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES128-GCM-SHA256
If you see that line of text in your email message header, you are properly connecting to the secure mail service.
Change email password
To change your email password, enter your email name (everything to the left of the "@" sign in your email address), your current password, and your new password. If you do not have this information, please contact your site administrator.

It is recommended to use at least one non-alphanumeric character - ! @ # [ ] etc...
For better security, some words common to Fire and EMS are not allowed. Examples: 'fire', 'squad', 'engine', etc.
